We had a lovely nights stay. Janet the host is wonderful. Our room was very comfortable- great bed, fabulous shower ! The Guest House is freshly renovated and has very good ambience. Congratulations to Janet & Neil. And breakfast was superb ! I highly recommend a stay here. PS- if available, ask for the ocean view rooms with balconies. Superb views!
Fantastic hosts...everything was thought of. Rooms were spotless and very well equipped with a lovely powerful shower and extremely comfortable bed. Great view from balcony down into the garden and pool area. There's a lovely comfy lounge and bar area with a pool table. Breakfast was delicious with local produce. Would highly recommend.
Great stay in this lovely guest house with super friendly hosts! After a hot day hiking we had a refreshing dip in the pool, a drink at the bar and followed their recommendations for food. Clean comfortable rooms and a smashing breakfast. You won’t go wrong here!
Janet and Neill are the perfect hosts. Everything is thought about and provided for. They are genuine people and make sure our stay was perfect. The lounge area is very welcoming and the breakfast room exquisite. Bedroom was clean light and airy. Janet provided a map for us of great hangman which definitely helped for our journey back. Nothing was too much trouble . Our drink and chat around the bar felt like we had known them forever. Don't change , you have got the perfect formula for a great stay.
Lovely stay with the new and attentive owners Janet and Niell. We called two days before and a room was available which was lucky. The rooms look gorgeous with lovely classic furnishings. En suit was decent size and clean. Bedroom comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely the next morning- offering cold options (fruit/yogurt) as well as hot- English breakfast. Lovely breakfast. Have just enjoyed a night at The Poplars, super friendly hosts, very helpful with everything! Rooms are comfortable and clean. Delicious breakfast. Everything is relaxed which is just what you need. We stayed with Jan and Neil on our last day of walking some of the coast path. Jan was so helpful providing us with parking, an extra breakfast and booking our evening meal. We enjoyed drinks in their bar and the views from our room were stunning! Thankyou so much!
A well appointed place - room was spotless (as was everywhere) and it had a cozy and welcoming feel. The owners are 2 of the lovliest people and so genuinely welcoming. Breakfast was 10/10. Do not hesitate to book here - you will not be disappointed!
